Paul has more than 30 years’ experience in the fields of estimation, procurement and project delivery in the mining and infrastructure industries in Australia and overseas.
Paul’s leadership capability has been developed throughout the management/ supervision of estimating and procurement teams who have prepared feasibility estimates and EPCM estimates for a large number of major mining projects (both greenfield and brownfield) throughout Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Chile and Mongolia, and the General Management of a small boutique EPCM contractor for a number of years.
Paul was a specialist sub-consultant alliance partner for over a decade during which time he provided mining, electrical and mechanical estimating and procurement support for a large number of major projects throughout Australia, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and Africa.
Over the past 20 years Paul has facilitated or assisted in the tendering, evaluation and award of over seventy Mining Services Contracts and provided estimating support for a number of feasibility studies. These projects include underground nickel, gold, copper and poly-metal mines, desalination plants, materials handling infrastructure, coal preparation plants, copper, gold and nickel processing plants and port infrastructure. Passionate for his chosen field, Paul has developed strong, optimised procurement processes and implemented tailored contracting principles that “bestfit” a project’s requirements – in particular Contract Hard Rock Underground Mining applications.
