Narrogin Waste Water Treatment Plant

RANBURY PROVIDES PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO DELIVER A SUSTAINABLE WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT FOR NARROGIN

Narrogin is located some 200km south-east of Perth. Water Corporation operated the Narrogin Waste Water Treatment Plant (Narrogin WWTP), servicing the town of Narrogin, faced operational challenges which impacted its effectiveness. Water Corporation is the principal supplier or water, wastewater and drainage services throughout Western Australia.

The Water and Carbon Group, who specialise in the design, building and operation of low energy wastewater treatment and ecological infrastructure solutions, were appointed by Water Corporation to upgrade the Narrogin WWTP with a new trickling filter and a high density constructed wetland. The Narrogin WWTP is designed to be one of the lowest energy sewage treatment plants operating in Australia.

Ranbury was initially engaged to provide Commercial Support to the Project. Following the delivery of successful commercial outcomes Ranbury was then engaged to provide Project Management Services and the continuation of commercial support to take the project to completion.

Faced with significant technical, resourcing and operational challenges Ranbury was able to manage the project to a successful conclusion and contribute to delivering a high quality product for the end user.

After completion of the project Ranbury’s Project Manager managed and facilitated a lessons learnt process and developed a Business Improvement Implementation Plan which captured the process and procedural improvements required to deliver projects more effectively in the future.

Through the delivery of the upgraded Narrogin WWTP, Water and Carbon Group showcases to the water industry modern technologies.
