Darryl is a qualified civil engineer with 25 years’ building and engineering construction experience, including nearly 20 years in managerial roles working in and leading construction and project management teams and regional groups. Darryl’s expertise crosses all aspects of project management including contractual, financial, and design and construction of head contracts and subcontracts across a wide range of industry sectors.
As Project Director for the Managing Contractor on the Ergon Energy Property Redevelopment Project, Darryl managed the simultaneous delivery of 4 sites which stretch across almost 1000km from Toowoomba to Mackay in Queensland. Darryl’s ability to manage multiple projects, contracts and roles at the same time has meant these projects were delivered consistently for the client throughout the 4 year project delivery timeframe.
Darryl was appointed Project Manager and Superintendent for the $80M Queensland Sugar Limited (QSL) Roof Replacement Program. This project involves the replacement of existing asbestos roof sheeting, as well as structural strengthening works to the existing bulk sugar storage sheds across 9 sites stretching from Bundaberg to Cairns. Darryl has also been the Principal’s Representative for the Queensland Government’s $400M Mackay Base and Cairns Hospital Redevelopments throughout 2014-2015.
Darryl started his career with Abigroup Contractors in Brisbane, working in various roles on a wide range of construction projects across the state. Since joining Ranbury in 2012, Darryl has established and developed the North Queensland office to offer local project delivery experts across north and central Queensland. In 2019, Darryl moved back to Brisbane and has taken on the role of South-East Queensland Regional Manager
Darryl is a graduate of the University of Queensland.
